I recently started rewatching Soul Eater and decided to do the fight scene from the beginning of Episode 4. I’m really bad at coloring and backgrounds, so I have no idea if I’ll finish this.(Those random shapes everywhere are the glass shards from her smashing through the window.)

I also have no idea what the fuck is going on with the dude’s hand, it kinda just went yaoi before I could notice. I’m not going to fix that, for sure, as I’m terrible at drawing hands.

i’m pretty sure that 9/10 times in any universe Tsubaki realizes she likes Liz first, and she sort of awkwardly “subtly” flirts Liz up, or at least what Tsubaki considers “flirting someone up”

(it tends to be hanging out with Liz doing mundane shit, making lots of eye contact (~dreamy~ eye contact filled with 200% of Tsubaki’s pure love and devotion!!!) and being just the tiniest bit more touchy feely.

“no Black*Star you don’t understand- I touched her shoulder! it was very stressful before you ask, and no challenging her to a duel would not get the point across faster, though I appreciate your help. and put that barbell down, I know you haven’t started your essay for Professor Stein… that I also forgot. oh dear.”

Black*Star of course starts laughing uproariously at her and exclaimes that she’s finally decided to take a taste of danger! (he proceeds to do 400 arm curls)

Tsubaki vows to herself that she’ll limit her almost dates with Liz to twice a week! but then she shakes her head because no no twice a week isn’t nearly enough and there surely is a line between smart time management and being just plain cruel!!!)

and Liz, somewhat oblivious to Tsubaki’s efforts suddenly realizes one day as she catches Tsubaki’s eye while they’re laughing about how awful magazine horoscopes are, that she straight up wants to kiss this girl

THIS IS A SHOCKING AND HORRIFYING REVELATION FOR LIZ THOMPSON! because surely Tsubaki couldn’t be into her of all people? so there you go Liz, falling in love with the one person who would never even think about dating you!! well done

so she tries to distance herself from Tsubaki, but does it in the most awkward manner possible- faking illness!! sending Patty in a wig to try and pass off as herself (really the height difference hadn’t occured to her as an immediate identifier)!! having to wash her hair!!! for hours!!! every day!!! (though Patty is pretty sure that’s no different from the usual Liz, but to be fair the bathrooms in Kid’s mansion are straight out of a bad romance novel- in a word: glorious.)

Tsubaki of course, in the worst possible turn of affairs, believes the cause of the split between them is her and her horrendously forward advances!!!!!!!!

so she decides to go and formally apologise to Liz only to find out that??? they both like each other a lot????????

both of them are completely embarrassed (both at how they made a big drama out of nothing and how they immediately went from talking to making out as soon as they both confessed)
